The City of Mansfield, Texas, is seeking proposals from a qualified artist/artists to create two (2) original park benches to be installed for outdoor use in Oliver Nature Park. This will be the first artwork created for a Mansfield park under the new city-sanctioned Public Art Program. The artwork must symbolize the monarch butterfly, either literally or abstract. The artworks should complement the landscape of the Oliver Nature Park in the two locations, and will be installed along a path around the bluebonnets fields where the Monarch Festival will occur in May 2026. The Artist will be responsible for the complete installation of the artwork, and will coordinate with the Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department. Consider ADA regulations and overall inclusivity in the final design of the artwork. Each bench will have concrete pad sites which will be preinstalled by the City of Mansfield. The budget for each bench is $5000. The selected artist must complete and install their art work by April 11, 2026.
