Simsbury Open Studios Weekend

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 8/14/2023 Simsbury artists celebrate the 14th Annual Simsbury Open Studios Weekend September 23 and 24, 2023 10 am – 4 pm each day Information & maps are available at www.simsburyartists.org Simsbury, CT: Free event: Fourteen Simsbury artists will open their studios to the public on Saturday and Sunday, September 23 and 24 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm during the 14th Annual Simsbury Open Studios weekend. Visitors will have the opportunity to see local artists working in their studios, ask questions about the creative process, and purchase original art from local artists. Participating artists include: painters, Eileen Anderson, Rita Bond, Catherine Elliot, Elizabeth Hucker, Ruth Jacobson, Mike Laiuppa, Deborah Leonard, Linda Madin, Quyen Phan, Julia Parker Post, Lori Racicot, and Richard Schlicher; lampworker (glass beads), Karyn de Punté-Sweezy; potter & painter,Ken Picard;. New to Open Studios this year is artist Elizabeth Hucker. Elizabeth is a painter and photographer who is inspired by geometry, hue and history. Her mediums include oil paint, acrylic paint, mixed media and digital photography to create abstract expressionist and impressionist work.
