Visit our FAQsPaulina Ganych is a Connecticut based artist primarily specializing in acrylic paintings. Their journey in fine art began while attending the University of Hartford, majoring in painting and minoring in psychology. Ganych's work has been featured in the Goldfarb Juried Exhibition of 2024, 2025, and 2026, which has given them experience in being part of a gallery setting. Despite working towards a career in art therapy, where they would like to help others find their own voice through art, Ganych enjoys being part of artistic communities and enrolling in gallery exhibitions.

At The 224 we support a business ecosystem that thrives on collaboration, innovation, and community engagement.
Lauren Cavanaugh is a Hartford-based playwright and educator with an MA from NYU Steinhardt and a BFA from The Hartt School. A recipient of the Master Teacher Award (ESF Camp, Trinity College 2024), her plays have been produced at New York’s 13th Street Rep and The Gallery Players. As a local instructor at Weaver High School and Playhouse on Park, she is deeply committed to bringing Connecticut’s unique history to life through dramatization and storytelling. She also is an artist in photography, painting, drawing , costumes and props.
Since 1985, TheaterWorks Hartford has presented quality, live contemporary American Theater to an audience of nearly 30,000 in the heart of Connecticut’s capital. Located in downtown Hartford, the theater presents 5-6 productions per year in its 188-seat venue along with its popular Living Room Concert Series in the expansive Hoffman Lobby, artistic talks, play readings, and special events throughout the season.
Gusky is an interdisciplinary visual artist. He has exhibited throughout the United States and internationally, and his work is featured in collections public and private. His degrees were earned at Pratt Institute and Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Among other distinctions Gusky was Visiting Artist at the International Workshop and Presentation on Contemporary Experimental Art at the University of Kalyani, India, and he’s a recipient of the St. Botolph Club Emerging Artist Award and the Elizabeth L. Greely Prize in Watercolor.

Hartford Performs brings high-quality arts integration education programs to students in grades PreK-8 throughout Hartford Public Schools and beyond.
Working in partnership with school systems and artistic communities, Hartford Performs infuses and integrates arts and cultural experiences into teaching and learning in ways that enrich the student experience and improve outcomes across the curriculum.
A celebration of Black music through Black lenses. Featured Photographer: Robert Cooper. This exhibition is a celebration of Black music captured by photographers. It is unjuried and no submission fee is required. To participate, bring your photos to The 224 EcoSpace (224 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT) on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 3-6PM. All photos must be framed and have wire or other appropriate hardware attached to the back for hanging. A 25% commission on sales will go towards supporting future exhibitions in our galleries. Reception: Thursday, May 14, 2026,from 6-9PM On display until June 28th.
