The different kinds of art I make are the natural outcome of a highly eclectic approach to life, a diverse skillset, and endless visual curiosity. My studio is a mad laboratory for synthesizing experiences. Paintings and drawings, mostly. All for my own interest, working intuitively using or inventing whatever method fits, with no consideration of fashion, marketability, or institutional propriety. No matter the kind of artwork, I don’t let it go until it possesses event, compelling tension, affective moments, and the sense of a resident psyche. I want to feel it looking back at me with its own personality. It’s a tough ask, with frequent failures.
