A quiet studio. A beautiful setting. Time for inspiration. Each year, the Saltonstall Foundation awards free residencies to artists and writers who are residents of New York State and Indian Nations therein. We support artists and writers working in the following disciplines: Poetry, Playwriting & Screenwriting, Photography & Filmmaking, Painting | Sculpture | Visual Arts. Located in a rural neighborhood near Ithaca, New York, we offer several residencies including specific ones for parents and full-time caregivers. Our anonymous jurying process focus on empowering a diverse community. No cost to attend, with a $500 stipend for specific residents and further support based on need. Applicants must be at least twenty-one (21), a New York State resident, and expect to participate in an open house at residency's end.
